A formal education or a degree program to become a choreographer is not required. A degree though may be essential in case of few employees if you choose to teach in high school or college.

Otherwise if you are typically interested in twisting and twirling your bodily movements as per the rhythm you will just need to find work with dance companies or under experienced photographers proving your worth as a performer first.
